and Community Outreach
St. Timothy has a tradition of supporting many different missions in the community and the world. The mission committee will be looking at new ways to serve our home community and others throughout the year.
Trinity/HOPE raises money and administers programs to provide hot nutritious daily meals to the children, teachers and cooks in Christian schools in Haiti using established and successful processes. St. Timothy is proud to be a partner with Trinity/Hope, providing 315+ meals daily for schoolchildren as a sponsor of the Fond Baptiste school.
Donations are accepted at any time.
St. Timothy Dinner Angels
Sally Kaler is overseeing this
group of members who will provide a meal to those in need in
our congregation. This service is intended to benefit members
who have recently returned home following hospitalization,
members who have experienced a serious illness, members and
families who have suffered the loss of a loved one, and
members with special needs who might benefit from a Dinner
Angels meal. If you are in need (or know someone
in need) of a Dinner Angel, contact Sally at 615-654-1001 or
the Church office at 615-824-6244. If you are interested in
serving as a Dinner Angel, please contact Sally directly.
Food Pantry Donations

Britches for Africa
Dresses and Britches for Africa
The women of the church work throughout the year to sew dresses and britches for African children in need. Little Dresses for Africa is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 to distribute dresses to little girls in remote villages of Africa. St. Timothy has partnered with Nancy's Notions, who packs the donated dresses and britches and sends them off to the Little Dresses for Africa organization. In turn, they're sent to Africa and distributed to the children who need them most.
Habitat for Humanity
St. Timothy partnered with Habitat for Humanity and other area churches for build #58 in Sumner County. The dedication for the completed project took place on June 24, 2018.
More volunteer opportunities will be publicized in the future.
The prayer shawls that we make in our group are given away unconditionally; they may not be sold. “The making of a shawl is a spiritual practice which em-bodies our thoughts and prayers for the receiver. Made in prayer, as prayer, for prayer, the shawls are passed on hand-to-hand and heart-to-heart.” Call Ginny at 615-822-8044 for more information.
Mission Quilts for Lutheran World Relief
Quilters meet the second Saturday of each month to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. These quilts are distributed anywhere in the world where they are needed. In addition to being used for warmth, recipients also use them for:
. A baby carrier, tied around a mother's back
. A market display, spread on the ground and piled with vegetables
. A sack for transporting goods to market
. A sunshade
. A room divider
. A constant reminder that someone, far away, cares a lot
Please join us for our next quilting session! Contact Emily Snyder if you have any questions.
St. Timothy Road
St. Timothy sponsors a section of Gallatin Road/Main Street in Hendersonville. Church members participate in regularly scheduled Saturday morning clean up events. This quarterly activity is a gift from the volunteers of St. Timothy to the Tennessee Adopt-A-Highway program.
